Lidia Gheorghiu Bradley
Born in Brasov, Romania, Lidia has been living in the West since 1982; she has always stayed in touch with her native country. A graduate of the "Andrei Saguna" highschool of Brasov and the University of Bucharest (English and French), she attended courses in computer science and theoretical linguistics at the Technische Universitaet Muenchen (1983-86). She worked as a teacher, journalist, software consultant, online publishing editor and translator in Romania, Germany (Softlab GmbH) and the US (Open Book Systems) and was on the board of several non-profit organizations (The Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston, The Princess Margarita of Romania Foundation). In 2000 she founded The Aspera Romanian Educational and Charitable Foundation in Boston and in 2001 the Aspera ProEdu Foundation in Brasov, Romania.

Guy Bradley
Guy Bradley has an impressive track record of identifying, mentoring and funding industry changing companies. He was a founding partner of CMGI@Ventures in 1995, where he helped to create the first Internet-only venture fund. Prior to joining CMGI, Guy worked in product management and strategic planning at Softlab GmbH, a $100 million software development subsidiary of BMW. He has served on the boards of numerous technology companies including WebCT, Intelligent Digital, Blaxxun, Onecore, Silknet, Virtual Ink / Mimio, and Course Advisor, and is a former board member of Common Angels. Guy received a BA from Princeton University.

Monica Ancu
Monica Ancu is a college professor and media and communication researcher. Originally from Bucharest, Romania, Monica works at the University of South Florida in St. Petersburg, FL, teaching journalism and communication courses such as digital journalism, current trends in communication, website and online design, and research methods. Her research looks at how U.S. politicians use the Internet for campaigning and promotion.

Ioana Pieleanu
Ioana has been exploring the many facets of sound as art and science since the early age of 7, when she enrolled as a piano major at the George Enescu Music School in Bucharest. She subsequently studied Music Theory and Education at the National University of Music in Bucharest, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in sound engineering and music production from Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA), and a Master of Science degree in Architectural Acoustics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, NY).

Currently a senior consultant at Acentech in Cambridge MA, Ioana works with client architects on building design as it relates to room acoustics, sound isolation and mechanical noise and vibration control. Most recently, Ioana is also the co-founder and editorial director of a young publishing house established in Mexico City, Editorial Elephas
